In 1989 Stacy moved to Texas from New Jersey to attend The University of Houston. She graduated with a Communications degree and started a personal fitness training business in 1997 and has pursued many types of movement, massage, and total body health. Her clients are of all ages from 8 into the 80s including elite and college athletes, young ballet dancers, general fitness enthusiasts, women pre and post-natal, those suffering from chronic injuries, clients with Parkinson’s, MS and auto-immune conditions.
Her background as a gymnast and dancer led to her interest in Pilates then GYROTONIC®. Stacy began teaching Pilates in 1998 and received The Pilates System® Certification from Colleen Glenn in 2003. Stacy has taught in a variety of settings including the Recreation Center in Rice University. She created a Pilates mat work course, which she taught as part of the undergraduate Lifetime Physical Activity Program (LPAP) from 2004-2006.
Stacy attended The Phoenix School of Massage in 2002 and began to explore the GYROTONIC® system. She received her GYROTONIC® Level 1 certification from creator Juliu Horvath in 2005 and has been trained in Level 2 Pulley Tower, in Therapeutic Applications, Wingmaster and on all specialized equipment. Stacy has taken the GYROTONIC® for Golfers course with Golf Pro Dave Rasmussen and has helped clients improve their swings and reduce swing-related injuries. Her background includes various massage techniques including Nuad Boran, Thai Bodywork, informs her intuitive hands-on teaching style. She also received her license to teach group GYROKINESIS® in 2016.
Stacy earned her Holistic Health Counselor Certification from NYC’s Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University’s Teachers College and completed the IIN Immersion Graduate program in 2009. She works with individuals and small groups on their relationships with food, appropriate nutrition and exercise. Stacy teaches raw foods & cooking classes, does kitchen organization and pantry raids and gives health food store tours.
